2013 Friends Foundation Benefit Friday, May 31, 2013!
Last year, our board, supported by a fantastic group of all-volunteer musicians, staged our first-ever public fundraising event at Berkeley’s renowned Freight and Salvage.
Thanks to the generosity of the Freight and many of these same musicians, we’re doing it again on Friday, May 31! This year all proceeds benefit Haiti’s Jacmel Children’s Center. Here is the info:
DATE: May 31, 2013
TIME: 8:00 PM
Where: Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, 2020 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA
Have an item for the silent auction? Download and email this form to us.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Jacmel Children’s Center (http://jacmelchildren.org). Our goal is to raise $15,000 to install a solar system for electricity and hot water at the children’s center. Come on out and help make this happen!

About Friends Foundation International
Friends Foundation International (“FFI”) was formed by a group of friends who met in 1975 at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in an environmental studies class entitled “The Political Economy of Ecological Problems.” Many years later, in 1991, after numerous travels and life experiences taking us to many parts of the world, these friends convened and committed themselves to starting a foundation to strengthen their friendships and to assist people and the environment.
FFI has come to stand for strengthening friendship through giving and fortifying fellowship through activism. It is a vehicle for individuals who share the bond of friendship to use their collective commitment, resources, and energy to improve the human condition and protect the environment all over the world.
FFI is unique because we continue to operate without any overhead expenses. FFI identifies significant environmental projects to support and we act as a funnel so that contributions from other friends and colleagues go directly to the project. We are proud to report that all of the donations from our supporters go directly to the various projects that have been selected. Check out the growing list of incredible projects supported by FFI.
