Helen and Will Webster Foundation Makes a $10,000 Donation to the Friends Foundation

The Friends Foundation International (“FFI”) board is delighted to acknowledge a $10,000 gift from the Helen and Will Webster Foundation in support of our environmental and public health projects around the world.  Making this all the more special for us is the fact that Alec Webster of the foundation worked on the first grant made by FFI over twenty years ago, a project protecting the California red-legged frog. Thank you Alec and the Helen and Will Webster Foundation!

About Friends Foundation International

Friends Foundation International (“FFI”) was formed by a group of friends who met in 1975 at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in an environmental studies class entitled “The Political Economy of Ecological Problems.” Many years later, in 1991, after numerous travels and life experiences taking us to many parts of the world, these friends convened and committed themselves to starting a foundation to strengthen their friendships and to assist people and the environment.

FFI has come to stand for strengthening friendship through giving and fortifying fellowship through activism. It is a vehicle for individuals who share the bond of friendship to use their collective commitment, resources, and energy to improve the human condition and protect the environment all over the world.

FFI is unique because we continue to operate without any overhead expenses. FFI identifies significant environmental projects to support and we act as a funnel so that contributions from other friends and colleagues go directly to the project. We are proud to report that all of the donations from our supporters go directly to the various projects that have been selected. Check out the growing list of incredible projects supported by FFI.
